Eloise Hart

Renovations with heavy space restrictions can be debilitating. Now we have solutions in the form of a compact kitchen. These small units make use of versatility as well as form to complement the kitchen design. With folding chairs, compact household appliances, maximum storage capacity, as well as changeable work areas, a compact kitchen offers the same level of function of a full sized kitchen whilst making available valuable space. Whether installed into a rental or a miniature kitchen, using the minimal area with the most effecient possible function provides a more relaxed environment and compact kitchens are available in different hues, clean metals, variations on themes as well as finishes, and an a whole world of refrigerators, sinks, countertops, storage areas, cabinetry, microwave ovens, and dish washers.

Unitized sinks, ceiling high cabinets, and sliding shelving units correspond well with the chopping boards that are installed atop the basin when it is used, cooking units featuring folding tops, in addition to hanging rails for cookware. A compact kitchen has each principal functionality of a kitchen for smaller spaces. For example, Kristen Laass and Normal Ebelt have manufactured a compact kitchen design that folds down to the size of one meter and expands to a dining table. It includes storage, an oven, an effecient induction rangetop, in addition to a refrigerator freezer. Circle Kitchen has devised a further compact kitchen that is marginally bigger, taking up a little less than two square meters. Their kitchen is describes a circle and turns a full 180 degrees. This model features a sink, stove top, cabinets, prep area, dishes, microwave, and a dish washer. Robert Schierjott and Ulrich Kohl have devised a compact kitchen which only uses a single meter and comes in 2 units that fold down to a small cube but then can be arranged into 6 different kitchen configurations complete with a natural gas cooking, counter tops, storage capacity, and a kitchen sink. There are compact kitchens which are 360 degrees, adaptable, and can be rolled about. These units include a tower which can be turned all the way around and comes with storage shelves, as well as variable cooking, eating, and cook prep area. The Kitchen Studio sells a compact kitchen which rests against the wall, integrates the necessary kitchen appliances, and spans the length of 246 cm. The compact kitchen by Stewart & Justin Case features a dining surface which seats four, a washbasin, drying rack, and a shelving system. Other choices involve silicon panels for holding canned goods, bowls, pots and pans, which then folds to create a dining area. For those tiny-house fans, there are compact kitchens that work as a dining room. At 4 square meters, this design is a 2 dimensional dining space when shut, and opens to fit a table, seating, and a lamp. Turning compact kitchens develop a shared dining environment and food prep area with their flawless accessibility. Unitized combined squarish designs are available only in black and white and are at heart compact kitchens positioned on a vertical surface. Some feature wall cabinetry and food storage for more stylish homes, stylish black and white models integrating stainless steel, and full-featured stylish kitchens which are about the size and shape of an office desk. City units or swank contempo houses can enjoy the perks of a modern, classic, or signature option. The 1st is devised for its fashion in small spaces together with its efficiency. The compact kitchens utilze less capacity than a closet and are available in sizes of 39 inches or more. These models are ideal for coffee kitchens which come off of a master bedroom, hoiday homes, maid’s quarters, in-law rentals, cottages, impermanent kitchens while work is being done, including out-of-doors entertaining. The second option is mostly utilized to augment the counter space while includes a refrigerator-freezer that is built-in right beneath the countertop. Typical kitchens infrequently include an oven and a dishwasher with maximum storage room and cook preparation in lengths ranging from 57 inches or greater. These are commonly installations for vacation rentals and cottages and also, recovery facilities, schools, assisted living arrangements, government facilities, and navy bases. The final style includes a better stand-up fridge and could be made-to-order to fulfill whichever cooking solutions a non-compact kitchen would have. The sizes start at sixty three inches and higher and are often installed in hotels, assisted living, hospitality rooms, hospitals, conference rooms, and other residential facilities. Irregardles of the preference from among choices, some options incorporate a detachable faucet, bail style hardware, and post-formed laminate countertops while alternative contemporary compact kitchen units include stainless washbasins, with Ceran range tops. Some of the prototypical units include microwaves.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia CEO apologies for financial planning scandal

Commonwealth Bank of Australia CEO apologies for financial planning scandal
No Comments »

Thursday, July 3, 2014

Ian Narev, the CEO of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, this morning “unreservedly” apologised to clients who lost money in a scandal involving the bank’s financial planning services arm.

Last week, a Senate enquiry found financial advisers from the Commonwealth Bank had made high-risk investments of clients’ money without the clients’ permission, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars lost. The Senate enquiry called for a Royal Commission into the bank, and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Mr Narev stated the bank’s performance in providing financial advice was “unacceptable”, and the bank was launching a scheme to compensate clients who lost money due to the planners’ actions.

In a statement Mr Narev said, “Poor advice provided by some of our advisers between 2003 and 2012 caused financial loss and distress and I am truly sorry for that. […] There have been changes in management, structure and culture. We have also invested in new systems, implemented new processes, enhanced adviser supervision and improved training.”

An investigation by Fairfax Media instigated the Senate inquiry into the Commonwealth Bank’s financial planning division and ASIC.

Whistleblower Jeff Morris, who reported the misconduct of the bank to ASIC six years ago, said in an article for The Sydney Morning Herald that neither the bank nor ASIC should be in control of the compensation program.

Filipchenko, registered on the New York City Campaign Finance Board as Vitaly A. Filipchenko, is the first Russian candidate for New York City mayor, being born in Tomsk, Siberia in 1973, according to news agency Sputnik. He has since naturalised as a United States citizen. According to the web site, Filipchenko has been educated in road construction and maintenance and owns a moving services company; he describes himself on his web site as a “small business owner”. On his web site’s platform page, he says that “[m]y English may not be perfect – but my platform is.”

Incumbent Democrat mayor Bill de Blasio, who won re-election in the 2017 New York City mayoral election by 66.5%, cannot run for a third term under term limits. As of April 28, 22 candidates are currently running, the majority of whom are also Democrats. Ahead of the June Democratic primary for New York City mayor, a poll conducted May 23 and 24 by WPIX and Emerson College of 12 Democratic candidates with a margin of error of 3.2 per cent has former commissioner for the New York City Department of Sanitation Kathryn Garcia and Borough President of Brooklyn Eric Adams leading with 21.1% and 20.1%, respectively.

Forex Trading Using Average Daily Range

Forex Trading Using Average Daily Range

by

Vic N

During a normal trading day in the forex markets, price is going to move up and down, and will generally (although not always) make a move above the previous days high, or below the previous days low. And if you think about it, wouldnt it be useful to have a general idea as to how far price could be expected to move?

Being aware of the Average Daily Range of a pair can be very useful. And by the way, the Average Daily Range (ADR) is also called the ATR (Average True Range) in the forex markets. An in the forex markets they both mean the same thing and can be used interchangeably, but in other markets like commodities and stocks, there is a difference, but we dont need to worry about it. ADR or ATR is the same thing for our purposes. When you calculate the Average Daily Range of a currency pair, obviously you can use as many days as you like for calculating the average. What Ive found useful for the purposes of day trading, is a 5 day average. By observing the average daily range for the past 5 days, we get a good gauge of current price movement and volatility, in other words, how far we can expect price to move during the day, from the low of the day to the high of the day (or vice-versa). For example, if today is the start of Wednesday, and were looking at a particular currency pair, what we do is look at the 5 day ADR as of the close of Tuesday. Make sure you get that. We dont use the current days candle because the day is not over and we dont know what its range will be, right? So coming into Wednesday, all we know is the Average Daily Range as of the close of Tuesday. So lets suppose we see that the 5 day ADR is 152 pips as of Tuesdays close. That means that we can expect the current days high (Wednesday) to be about 152 pips above the low, or the current days low to be about 152 pips below the high. So staying with our example, once we know what the ADR is coming into Wednesday, we simply observe price and watch for that price level where price will have traveled and amount equal to or exceeding its current 5 day Average Daily Range. If price is rising, then note the low of the day, and add the ADR of 152 pips to get the expected high for the day If its dropping, then simply note the very high of the day, and subtract the ADR of 152 pips (in our example) to get the expect low for the day. This is tremendously useful information, and heres why: If price has, for example, rallied above its expected high (its 5 day Average Daily Range), and at the same time price is hitting a support or resistance level, there can be some great trading opportunities!! I mean, really great! And there are even further refinements that you can make to give you some extremely high odds trading opportunities. So, I hope you are starting to get a bit of an idea as to just how powerful the observation of the 5 day Average Daily Range can be when you learn how to apply it properly. I hope youve found this article helpful! Concern about sovereign debt of some EU members roils markets

Concern about sovereign debt of some EU members roils markets
No Comments »

Friday, February 5, 2010

Global stock markets fell steeply on Thursday on investor concerns about the growing sovereign debts of European Union member states Greece, Portugal, and Spain. A report of a rise in weekly jobless claims in the United States contributed to the market gloom. The MSCI World index fell the most in over nine months. Currency and commodities markets also posted major moves.

If other European countries are having trouble like Greece, then it’s a big problem for banks, and the banks are the foundation for everything.

The euro fell more than one percent against the US dollar to an eight-month low; against the yen it fell 2.2%, approaching a one-year low. The price of crude oil fell 5% to US$73.14 per barrel and gold slid 4.4% to US$1,063 per ounce.

Greece’s Prime Minister, George Papandreou, announced an austerity program, but that is now threatened by plans by the largest trade union for a national strike. In 2009, Greece’s budget deficit was 12.7% of the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP). Papandreou’s plan called for that to drop to 3% by 2012.

Gary Jenkins of Evolution Securities told the Financial Times, “[t]he risk aversion trade is back on as the debt problems of Europe are for the first time bringing down global markets. Corporate earnings may come in strongly [in the US], but investors are more concerned about the possible default of a sovereign European nation.”

“This is a sovereign problem, and it’s hitting everything,” said Keith Springer of Capital Financial Advisory Services to Reuters. “If other European countries are having trouble like Greece, then it’s a big problem for banks, and the banks are the foundation for everything. European banks will be in trouble and that will carry over to all stocks.”

“The focus is shifting toward Spain and Portugal, where the deficit-reduction plans have been far less ambitious than Greece,” said Kornelius Purps of UniCredit Markets & Investment Banking to Bloomberg.

Concerns in Portugal centered on political tension surrounding a regional spending bill. In Spain, the source of worry was reportedly because the government backed down from promised pension reform.

European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet sought to ease investor fears, in part by noting that the deficit in the US is expected to hit 10% of GDP in 2010, compared with about 6% in the eurozone. He said that he was “confident” that Greece is moving in the right direction.

Trichet did admit that it is of “paramount importance” for Greece, Portugal and Spain to get their public finances under control.

Good Schools For Interior Design

Good Schools for Interior Design

by

Diego M

How would you define good schools for interior design? It is rather difficult, as it is influenced greatly by each individual s personal tastes. Every interior design student has their own opinions about what school is best for them, so in each student s case, the best school for interior design is the one that is closest to the student s needs and preferences.

What makes an school for interior design good? One of the most important factors is naturally the interior design program itself: the interior design faculty and the classes they teach are key to a strong school for interior design. Additionally, the interior design facilities available for students to use and the services provided for them are similarly important, as they show how willing the school is to invest in interior design. Alternative classes related to interior design, such as graphic design or video game design, complement an interior design degree, so researching the quality of those programs is highly recommended. And, any student planning to enter the interior design industry following graduation should also look into the school for interior design s support in career development: are they active in assisting students in finding job placements and internships?

Each student s financial circumstance also plays a large role in deciding on an school for interior design. How costly are the fees and tuition at the school for interior design? Can students apply for academic scholarships, grants, or any other financing options from the school?

Other important aspects of a good school for interior design to consider include non-academic factors. Is the school located in quieter rural town or a larger urban area? How lively is the area around the campus? What public transportation options are available? Students will be spending a lot of time in the campus and surrounding areas, so the school for interior design s location and setting are crucial considerations. If the student was an athlete, they may wish to attend a school with extensive sporting programs. And, looking into the alumni of the school for interior design to look for famous animators is one other method of choosing a good school for interior design. Ultimately, the student will be the one making the choice, so consider carefully!
